That’s not to say that the Vacheron isn’t cool, it’s just a more modern, inconspicuous kind of cool. And retail on these bad boys is fairly similar, AP at $15,900 and Vacheron at $13,900.The AP will likely hold its value a little better, but the VC is A Lange & Sohne 404.035 Men's Watch certainly a less common look, and to Hodinkee readers, that's meaningful. Now we don’t want to criticize one or the other, as we're loyal fans of Vacheron Constantin, and our proclivities for Audemars Piguet are well documented. But, the similarities between these two competitors are undeniable, don't you think?
Naturally, it is also one of therarest.Serious chronograph collectors hunt these down for years. We love the even patina on the two-registerchapter dial, and what makes this watch even more attractive is itssize. This replica Breitling Aeromarine Chrono Men's watch is 38mm, which is absolutely massive for watches ofthis time period, although considered small in modern day terms.Thiswatch is in mint condition and comes with with a new black matte strap.Click here to see the details of this amazing 1936 Longines Flyback Chronograph.Hodinkee in Chronograph, Longines, Longines Flyback 13ZN Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 7:26PM
Both companies produce killer timepieces, and both the Overseas and the Royal Oak are fantastic luxury sport watches, but if you could only buy one, which A Lange & Sohne 130.025 Men's Watch would it be? Tell us why, and if we like your answer, maybe we'll toss you a little somethin', or maybe we won't, who knows? Either way, even though we like both of these GMT's, there is something a little fishy about the similarity, no? 1.
